FAQ

Here you will find answers to the questions brides ask us most – about buying, selling and staying safe.

Everbride in brief

Do you buy my wedding dress?

No. Everbride is a marketplace: we do not buy dresses, take them on commission, or store or ship anything. You list your dress yourself and sell it directly to a bride who is looking for exactly that dress. We explain how under “How It Works”.

Can I visit you and try on dresses?

We have no shop and no warehouse. Every dress is with the person selling it. You arrange a fitting directly with them – just message them from the dress page. The distance filter finds dresses near you.

What happened to Wunsch-Brautkleid?

Everbride is the new home of wunsch-brautkleid.de – under new management. Listings that were online on the old site at the move came with us. They keep running until their current paid term ends and then stay online for six more months free of charge.

My old listing is no longer visible. Will it come back?

No. Listings that were not online on the old site at the move – for example because they had expired or were hidden – are not online on Everbride either. If you want to offer the dress again, list it anew.

Safety & scams

How do I recognise a fake buyer?

Scammers hardly ask anything about the dress – not about measurements, not about condition. Typical signs are time pressure, wanting to continue by private email, WhatsApp or Telegram, a courier who is to collect the dress, or more money than you asked for. Many of these messages are in German: the country says little, the behaviour says a lot.

I received a payment confirmation. Can I ship the dress now?

Only once the money has really arrived. An email does not prove a payment – not even when it looks as if it came from PayPal or your bank. Open your banking app or your payment provider’s site yourself, not via a link in the email, and check for the money there. And: you never have to pay a fee to receive money.

Someone is asking for my bank or card details. Is that genuine?

No. Everbride never asks you by email or chat for your password, your card details or access to your bank account. For a bank transfer a buyer needs your IBAN at most – never your card details, your PIN or a password. Do not click links asking you to “verify” your account or “release” a payment. If in doubt, open Everbride yourself in your browser and sign in there.

Why should I stay in the Everbride chat?

In the chat the whole conversation stays in one place, and you do not have to give out a private email address or phone number. Anyone who wants to move you to WhatsApp, Telegram or a private email straight away often has something other than your dress in mind. Only share your address and bank details once you have really agreed.

A buyer wants to send a courier or shipping company. What now?

Careful, this is a well-known scam pattern. Often it comes with a cheque, an overpayment or a fake payment confirmation – and later a request to advance fees for the transport. Only hand over the dress once the money is in your account, and never pay anything to a courier or agent.

I have already replied, shared details or shipped. What now?

Break off contact and stop replying. If you shared bank or card details, call your bank or payment provider straight away. Report it to the police – you can also do that online. And let us know via the “Contact” page, with the link to the listing and screenshots of the messages.

How do I report a suspicious listing or message?

Write to us via the “Contact” page. Include the link to the listing and, if it is about a message, a screenshot.

Selling

How do I sell my dress?

Open “Sell Your Dress”, upload photos and describe your dress: brand, size, condition, price and location. Only in the last step do you create an account and pay. As soon as the payment is confirmed, your listing is online. Buyers then message you through Everbride.

What does it cost to list a dress?

A listing costs €19.95 for twelve months – one payment, no subscription and no commission. Afterwards you can renew for €9.95 per further twelve months if you like. The buyer pays the price of the dress directly to you – Everbride is not involved in that payment.

What may I list?

Everbride is made for wedding dresses. Not sure whether your dress belongs here, or cannot find your town in the list? Then write to us via the “Contact” page.

How do I hear about enquiries, and how do I reply?

Enquiries from buyers arrive in your account under “Conversations”. Sign in regularly and check there – that is the only place you see a new enquiry. Reply directly in the chat – that keeps everything in one place.

How do I change my listing or my photos?

Sign in and open your dress under “Dresses”. There you change the text, price and photos and save. The first photo is the image shown in the overview.

Why do you ask whether my dress is still available?

So that brides only see dresses that really are still available. At most once a month we ask you by email – one click on the link is enough. If you recently edited your listing or answered an enquiry, that counts as a confirmation and we ask later. Your listing stays online even if you do not answer. You can turn the reminder off and back on with the link in every reminder or in your account under “Account”. The links in the email are valid for 30 days.

How long does my listing stay online – and what happens then?

A listing runs twelve months from the day it is published. Shortly before the end we ask you by email: for €9.95 you renew your private listing for another twelve months after payment (dealers at the price of their dealer package) – as often as you like. Even after the term ends the listing stays renewable for 30 days; only after that do you simply list it again. The “still available” confirmation in the availability loop does not extend the term – for that there is the separate renewal link.

My listing comes from Wunsch-Brautkleid. How long does it stay online?

If your listing was online on the old site at the move, it keeps running until its current paid term ends and then stays online for six more months free of charge – no package needed. If it is still online shortly before the end, you will get an email. Confirming “still available” does not extend this period. If you want to keep offering your dress afterwards, you renew it for €9.95, twelve months at a time. Dealers renew at the price of their dealer package.

I have sold my dress. What do I do now?

Congratulations! Mark the listing in your account under “Dresses” with “Mark as sold”, and you will stop getting enquiries. If one of our availability emails reaches you, you can also click “No, no longer available” there.

Why am I not getting any enquiries?

Usually it is the price, the photos or the description. Compare your price with similar dresses, show the whole dress in daylight and state measurements and condition precisely. There is more in our “Seller Tips”.

I run a bridal shop. Can I sell with you?

Yes. In your profile you state whether you sell privately or commercially. If you want to list many dresses, write to us via the “Contact” page.

Something is not working while I list my dress. What can I do?

Reload the page and try again in an up-to-date browser. Photos may be at most 8 MB and must be JPG, PNG or WebP. If it still does not work, write to us via the “Contact” page – with your account’s email address, a screenshot and what you were trying to do.

Buying

How do I message a seller? Do I need an account?

Every dress page lets you send the seller a message. Without an account you only enter your name and email address. We then send you an email to set a password – so you can read replies and keep writing.

The seller does not reply. What can I do?

Give them a few days and then write again – your message may have got lost. If it stays quiet, the dress may already be sold. Save your search, and you will hear about new matching dresses.

Can I try the dress on before buying?

Just ask the seller. Their profile page shows whether they have marked “Fitting possible”. Meet in daylight, take someone with you, and only pay once you have seen the dress.

Is there buyer protection? Can I return the dress?

Everbride does not process payments and offers no buyer protection. You agree price, payment and handover directly with each other. When you buy from a private seller, you usually cannot return a dress because it does not fit or you do not like it. So agree in writing in the chat beforehand what applies. Whether your payment provider protects you depends on its own terms.

Which size counts – the label or the measurements?

The measurements. Wedding dresses are cut differently from brand to brand, and many have been altered. Ask for bust, waist, hips and length in centimetres and compare them with your own. If the seller has entered measurements, they are on the dress page.

Will the dress be shipped, even abroad?

That is up to the seller – just ask. Costs, insurance, tracking and shipping abroad are for the two of you to agree, ideally in writing in the chat.

How do I find my dress faster?

Use the filters for size, brand, colour, price and distance. With an account you can put favourite dresses on your wishlist and save searches – we then email you as soon as new matching dresses arrive. Tip: colours are named differently, so when looking for ivory, check champagne too.

Can you alter a dress for me?

No, we do not alter dresses. Best ask a bridal alterations tailor – ideally before you buy. Then you know what is possible and roughly what it costs.

Account & data

I cannot get into my account. What do I do?

On the sign-in page click “Forgot password?” and enter your email address. If no email arrives, check your spam folder. If it still does not work, write to us via the “Contact” page.

Can I keep using my Wunsch-Brautkleid account?

Usually yes: sign in with your existing email address and password. If that does not work, reset your password via “Forgot password?”.

How do I change my email address?

You cannot do that yourself in your account at the moment. Write to us via the “Contact” page and tell us your old and your new address.

How do I delete my account and my data?

If you can sign in to the panel, you delete your account there yourself under “Account” – confirmed with your password. Without panel access, for example if you only wrote to a seller, enter your email address on the page /konto-loeschen and confirm via the link we send you. We then immediately delete your profile, your listings, your wishlist and your saved searches. Chat messages stay readable for the people you talked to, with “Deleted account” as the sender. Deleted pages also disappear from search engines after a while.
